I am giving this a Not Recommend for now in the interest that this game continues to improve. At launch, I refunded the game because of performance issues, but in its current state I believe that for casual players like me who just enjoy balancing supply chains and building a giant urban sprawl, this game is a good purchase on a sale. That being said, there are a couple annoying items that detract from the fun, most notably with managing zoning on specific tiles and not having a way to change out industry supply chains aside from demolishing over and over until you get the company (and product) you want. Overall if you're looking to upgrade from CS1 and aren't invested in modding, this is worth your time, but it still needs more improvements to be truly special. I am having fun. However, for every improvement and depth Cities Skyline 2 adds on top of Cities Skylines 1, it also seemingly removes control and buries information in abstract ways, removing agency from the player. This doesn't need to continue to be the case and I belive the current developers will make this game better.
