Don't let my number of hours fool you, this is an INCOMPLETE game.
As solid as the core gameplay is, Darktide is ultimately an unfinished mess, with numerous promises from Fatshark undelivered to this day. The amount of content from open beta to the full launch is minuscule at best, the game is still riddled with glitches and crashes that have yet to be addressed since the CLOSED BETA from October and communication between Fatshark and players have been incredibly tone-deaf. Have I mentioned that the crafting shop only has 1 out of 4 features finished at launch? The rest are labeled in-game as, "Coming soon."
The only significant addition (aside from 1 new mission, woohoo) AT LAUNCH is the premium cosmetics shop, which had incredibly scummy FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) tactics such as timers, including premium currency packs that are designed so that you will never have the amount you want (which forces players to spend more money). Player backlash forced Fatshark to backpedal on their FOMO and pricing, but they have confirmed to be reintroducing FOMO at a later date sadly.
I do truly enjoy this game's combat and gameplay, but this game is clearly unfinished and absolutely riddled with predatory monetization. Even Fatshark's own game is working against their own updates, as they had to slowly trickle out content from a recent patch over the course of many hours at the time of this writing.
